WickedLeak Wammy Ethos: An Android ICS tablet for Rs 8,999

WickedLeak has announced the Wammy Ethos, an Android ICS tablet. This will be the upgraded version of the 7 inch tablet that was launched sometime back. The Wammy Ethos has in-built HSPA+3G feature that supports high speed downloads and quick web experience.

Coming to the specifications, this new tablet has a 7 inch display with a resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It has connectivity features like Wi-Fi tethering and Bluetooth. The tablet is lightweight making it highly portable. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz processor, 512 MB RAM and 4 GB on board storage. The memory can be expanded to 32 GB with the help of the micro SD card slot.

The Wammy Ethos has a powerful 3500 mAh battery. It is packed with voice calling and SMS features indicating that it can support a SIM card. Interestingly, the tablet is based on the Android 4.0 ICS operating system.

The previous products, Wammy 7 and Wammy Plus have been quite successful. These devices made WickedLeak mark its name in the Indian tablet market.

The Wammy Ethos tablet will be available in India for a price of Rs 8,999. It is the cheapest built 3G tablets launched so far. The tablet can be purchased from the official website. The delivery will start from July 25^th, 2012.

If this is to be believed, the front panel suggests that the smartphone will have a larger display with a wide screen aspect ratio. If you observe the images closely, you can find another change. The secondary camera is expected to be shifted to the center of the front side, above the earpiece. This may not too exciting. If supports high definition videos, then it will be a welcome upgrade. In fact, FaceTime will look better in 720p.

Coming to the display, the iPhone 5 is believed to have a 4 inch display in diagonal. The resolution of the display is expected to be boosted by 640 x 1136 pixels. As a result, there will be space for an additional row of home screen icons.

Speaking about these leaked front panel images, we cannot confirm if they belong to the iPhone 5. They can even be fake ones. Anyhow, the launch of the iPhone 5 is expected to happen in September.
